We are a neighborhood market. Gene's Family Market associates live, work, and raise their families in the community where we do business. We consider it our responsibility to devote resources to improving the quality of life in our home communities. Over the past several years our store, along with other supermarkets with the same passion to support the education of our students, have provided over $380,000 in FREE educational equipment! We want your school to get its share of the many items available…and it is free.
Unlike traditional fundraisers, Tools 4 Schools is easy and fun!
Parents
When you shop at our store, save your receipts. Better yet, don't just save your own receipts. Ask your friends and relatives to save theirs, too! Send them to your school weekly and Tools 4 Schools volunteers will redeem them for computers, software, sporting goods, audio-visual aids, science items, books and other teaching tools FREE!
School Coordinators
Since many of your students' families currently shop at our stores, your school already has a strong base of support for this program. Best of all, everyone in your community can take part. It's not limited to your school's students, administration and faculty. In fact, the more outside interest and enthusiasm generated, the greater the benefits to your school. Get businesses, community groups and other school supporters involved! Reminder: Every school must register each year to participate.
It's Easy To Participate
- Select a charismatic volunteer who will coordinate the program and promote excitement among students, parents, teachers and the community.
- Register at www.t4sspartannash.com or by calling 800-999-7750 and speaking to a program headquarters representative who can assist you in registering.
- After registering at the site, click DOWNLOADS where you will find a “Letter to Parents” that you can print and send home to parents and supporters on a regular basis. Be sure to use social media when possible.

About The Program
By buying Our Family brand products, and saving the UPC barcodes from those cans, boxes and bottles, store guests can help schools, faith-based and other community organizations earn money for textbooks, art supplies and more. For each bundle of 500 Our Family UPC barcodes collected, participating nonprofit organizations can earn $25.
And with more than 2,000 high-quality, value-conscious items available through the Our Family brand – and more than 1,800 retail stores in 22 states and Puerto Rico that carry Our Family products – store guests can give back to their favorite non-profit organizations with each trip they make to the grocery store.

About The Program
The goal of the Our Family Scholarship program is to remove the barriers to education for our shoppers who help make our communities better places to live, play, and grow.
The Our Family brand is proud to offer the opportunity for our shoppers, who are pursuing post-secondary education, throughout America’s Heartland to apply for academic scholarships. We’ll be awarding thirty, $2,500 scholarships, which are made possible through Our Family Cares.
Shoppers who serve the communities we love and help make them better places to live, play and grow can apply for the 2024 scholarships starting May 1 – August 31.
